Check valve with spherical ball shutter produced by Afpumps. Extreme reliability both in vertical and horizontal position thanks to their constructive simplicity and absence of mechanisms.
The principle is based on the free movement of the "ball" inside the valve body and the particular design of the ball guide and of the delivery duct guarantees a completely open passage without bottlenecks or roughness that could stop any solid material.

The ball of the valve has a low inertia and therefore the opening pressure of the check valve is about half of a clapet valve, the opening position of the duct is obtained without the use of springs or other mechanical means.
In order to obtain both a perfect seal and a silent closing, the "ball" is made of phenolic resin or coated with nitrile rubber resistant to clean fresh or sea water, sewage or rainwater even with hydrocarbon residues.
