Válvula de retención con obturador de bola esférica fabricada por Afpumps. Fiabilidad extrema tanto en posición vertical como horizontal gracias a su construcción sencilla y a la ausencia de mecanismos.
El principio se basa en el movimiento libre de la "bola" dentro del cuerpo de la válvula y el diseño especial de la guía de la bola y el conducto de salida garantiza un paso completamente abierto sin cuellos de botella ni rugosidades que puedan detener cualquier material sólido.

La bola de la válvula tiene poca inercia y, por tanto, la presión de apertura de la válvula de retención es aproximadamente la mitad que la de una válvula de clapeta; la posición de apertura del conducto se consigue sin utilizar muelles ni otros medios mecánicos.
Para conseguir una estanqueidad perfecta y un cierre silencioso, la "bola" está fabricada con resina fenólica o recubierta de caucho nitrílico resistente al agua dulce o salada limpia, a las aguas residuales o al agua de lluvia, incluso con residuos de hidrocarburos.
La extrema simplicidad conceptual de la válvula hace que no necesite mantenimiento
