Die Ventilkugel hat eine geringe Trägheit, so dass der Öffnungsdruck des Rückschlagventils etwa halb so groß ist wie der eines Tellerventils.
Mit Nitrilkautschuk beschichtete Kugel, beständig gegen sauberes Süß- oder Meerwasser, Abwasser oder Regenwasser, auch mit Kohlenwasserstoffrückständen.
Die extreme konzeptionelle Einfachheit des Ventils macht es wartungsfrei.
